Jeep Talk Spoken Here No sense being too complicated until (unless?) posts and traffic warrant categories to be set up. Who wants to search through dozens of forums anyway? |

Battery replacement
Had to replace the battery in the Jeep today. Connie went out to start it to go to a doctor's appointment, and the solenoid just clicked away. So she took the truck and I arranged to pick up a battery at the local Advance Auto.
Pretty simple job. Just a single bolt for the hold-down bracket on the battery, and the positive and negative cables needing to be removed. 10mm bolts in all three places. I laid the hood against the roof, since it gave a bit more clearance pulling the old battery out and putting in the new one that way. Starts right up now, so all is good. Actually I think this is the first thing to ever go wrong on the Jeep since I got it. So certainly can't complain about that. |
